Overview
Turning an Independent Engineering Practice Into a Studio Platform
GenDev is an independent software studio working across web engineering, cloud infrastructure, interfaces, motion, 3D and applied AI. Most studio websites explain what a company does; this one had to demonstrate it. The site was designed as the first proof of the studio's position — original interfaces, deliberate motion, technical depth and an experience that feels engineered rather than assembled.
Every section has a job. The site introduces the studio, establishes its point of view, demonstrates its capabilities, presents selected work, and gives potential clients a direct path into a conversation. Positioning, capability, proof and conversion sit in one continuous narrative rather than four disconnected pages.

Challenge
Making Engineering Visible Without Making It Documentation
A studio selling engineering has to prove it on the page, not describe it.
GenDev is not competing as another generic digital agency. The studio takes on fewer projects, works directly with clients, and combines senior capability across infrastructure, full-stack engineering, interfaces and applied AI. The website therefore had to communicate real technical credibility to an audience that would leave the moment it started reading like a manual.

Position
Start with the question of what GenDev should be known for. The answer became the foundation of the entire experience — an independent studio combining engineering depth with strong interface craft.
Structure
Turn the positioning into a narrative: position, capabilities, instrumentation, selected work, studio, trajectory, proof, contact. Every section moves the visitor somewhere.
Design
Build a visual language around typography, scale, spacing, contrast, rhythm and movement. The interface needs to feel engineered without becoming cold.
Engineer
Turn the design system into a real product. Interactions, responsive behaviour, content structures, performance and implementation all become part of the same build.
Prove
Selected work demonstrates what has actually been built; client testimonials demonstrate what happened after delivery.
Refine
Remove everything that doesn't earn its place. The final experience is deliberately restrained: fewer distractions, stronger hierarchy, clearer decisions.
